Reflections on the writer's vocation

"Some writers increase the number of readings, others only increase the number of books."

Jacinto Benavente.

Dedicated to: my potential readers.

The big question that arises anyone who is immersed in the craft of writing, at any level (I mean: novice, experienced, academic, humanistic ...), is the Why write? Naturally, the answers are as varied as it is the individuality of each writer.

Personally, and way-prior, I reply that I intend to write to express my continuing and constant reflections on the world of ideas and speech.

My premise as a writer is: "I think therefore I write." It was understood that my primary obsession (early if you will), is to record the outcome of the ideas I develop when I launched into my thoughts.

Of course I have also literary and commercial aspirations. This is due to issues of professional nature. I do not consider themselves conservative play in this article.

Returning to the question: why do I write on this site? First of all, to leave my notes, my notes, literary, my correspondence, my reading, my reviews, my recommendations ... within reach of anyone that claims to spend their valuable time to read me.

Take advantage of the privilege that gives us the Internet to manage a blog is certainly something no one can miss. Much less one who tries to be a writer.

I wholeheartedly hope to have the results projected to be developing this site for my "personal brand", my reputation, my credibility and, of course, my circle of readers.

How did you do that? First of all, writing about what one really passionate about, sticking to the main rule to write with authenticity (not to be confused with originality), and defining his own literary style.

I hope to have a good number of readers (who can help them to improve my craft as a writer with his criticisms, comments, recommendations ...), and a large (both in quality and warmth), contents, notes, notes, reviews, essays ... allow me to get an idea of that indeed this is my vocation.

Not that I doubt my passion as a thinker and writer. It's just the idea of strengthening the commitment at the moment I set myself to take my career to another level as a writer and the idea of giving something to others.
