Donna Karan, fashion icon and philanthropist


Donna Karan is an icon in fashion design and is the creator of the clothing brand DNKY, meaning Donna Karan New York. Donna Ivy Fasken in real life, she was born in Forest Hills in New York. Donna grew up in Long Island, lived with his stepfather. His mother was a model. Donna attended Hewlett and entered school to study design at university. He left college and choose to have a job with Anne Klein. She rose from the ranks to become team leader Anne Klein design. He served until 1989. It was during that year that launched the line "Essentials" including its popular "Seven Easy Pieces" or "Seven Easy Pieces."

Donna Karan married Mark Karan in the early 70's. When Donna gave birth to a daughter named Gabrielle in 1974, before his boss, Anne Klein, has died.

DKNY has become a global fashion phenomenon. While his company has gone through very difficult times, but Donna has been able to face the challenges of the right way.
