Always Look Ahead At The Poker
The great chess players have several moves planned in advance. Why not do the same in poker?.
Obviously the tactic is different and you should consider many things but the idea is the same.
Often, the poker player takes into consideration only what to do in this moment with the two cards you have,
bounce, or pay up.
Think about what might happen after you act. For example, you have a pair of 6s in full and table two players left to act after you. Before making your decision you have to ask:
• Do these players are aggressive, passive or loose, will go up after I pay or raise?
• Do I pay if I make trips on the flop to assess your potential profits. Good players do this and act accordingly.
They also look to see if the opponents that
still tense or relaxed, if they were looking at their cards when they saw their letters, etc..
It is important to try to see everything that happens on the table to decide what you do with your cards in every round of betting. Exit the tunnel, always have a panoramic view of the table and think in advance what is most
likely to occur when you enter the pot.
This will avoid many dangerous situations and the decisions of your opponents not take you by surprise.
