Chrysler Group in March 2007 sales report, Offers New Incentives
Chrysler Group division of DaimlerChrysler AG, the maker of Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep vehicles has recently reported a 5 percent decrease over March 2007 sales compared to their sales production in March 2006.
Although overall sales totals have declined by 5 percent, the Jeep brand the company has successfully increased its sales in March 2007 to 4 percent with a total of 45.335 units sold each. The Jeep Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited demonstrated their reign as the most popular Jeep brand with a sales increase of 64 percent compared to March 2006. Dealers sold 13,397 units of the Jeep Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited in March 2007, which contributed significantly to the overall sales of the Jeep brand. According to Chrysler Group, "March 2007 marked the best month ever in the history of the Jeep Wrangler." In addition, the Jeep Compass compact sport utility vehicle (SUV) with tube PS Jeep sold 3,802 units, while the Jeep Patriot concluded in March 2007 sales report with 2109 units sold.
For Dodge, the Dodge Nitro, which was recently introduced in the U.S. market in October 2006 ended in March 2007 with sales totaling 7,532 units, marking its strongest month ever. The new Dodge Avenger sold 9,026 units in March 2007. Other Dodge models have gained sales increase over March 2006 sales. The Dodge Caliber compact car has achieved a sales increase of around 32 percent with a total of 8.634 units sold. The Dodge Charger full-size sedan sold 12,707 units in March 2007, a 41 percent sales increase over last year 9.023 units. Finally, the Dodge Ram light duty pickup sales gained increasing s up to 15 percent.
Overall for March 2007, the inventory of Chrysler Group vehicles have been significantly reduced by 107,000 units or 18 percent, compared with 499.771 units of inventory in March 2006 with 606.734 units.
Acording to Tom LaSorda, Chrysler Group President and CEO:
"We continue to keep our promise to spend more time with our dealers, and make their profitability a priority An important milestone in the month of March was that our inventory of vehicles fell by more than 100,000 units over the previous year -. In line with the guidance we gave earlier. "
Meanwhile, for the month of April 2007, Chrysler Group is offering new incentives with marketing called 'National Minivan Month'. Here's what Michael Manley, Vice President, Sales and Operations dealerships Chrysler Group has to say about the 'National Minivan Month':
"Combined with a prior competitive vehicle, we will feature a no-charge DVD system for our Chrysler Town and Country, Dodge Caravan and Dodge Grand Caravan minivan."
