During the last fifty years Portillo has gained a reputation as a unique place for skiers and snowboarders. The ski and snowboard experience is highlighted by tracks with very little waiting at the lifts.

Portillo offers equipment rental including skis, snowboards, boots, poles and ski art. In addition, we offer group classes and private ski every day and only private on Saturday. To offer our visitors a day restaurant and Uncle Bob's Self.

Portillo is the oldest ski resort in South America and its history is part of the history of skiing. A story of men and mountains, dreams and achievements in the wonderful world of skiing

Portillo celebrated his birthday No. 50 in 1999. Fifty wonderful years and we look forward to the next 50 years.

The ski area has not changed much over the years. It is a single center. No one gets up early, meals are social events, dinner is late. There are no queues for the ski lift up, not many people skiing in the powder. Life is comfortable and lends itself to making new friends. There are twelve lifts, including five chair lifts but Va et vient, designed by Jean Pomagalski in the 60 to allow access to the high courts of the Roca Jack and Condor, there are still defying the experts and providing access to a great powder snow skiing in open court and countless very steep narrow steps.

The ski and hospitality experiences are unique in Portillo. We offer one great hotel, with various rooms, and the Octagon and Inca lodges. There is no nearby town which means that Portillo is self-sufficient, such as a cruise on the top of the Cordillera de los Andes. Portillo has become, through its 50 year history, one of the ski areas of most importance and tradition. We are known worldwide for its beautiful scenery and high quality snow.

Portillo sells packages a week, from Saturday to Saturday. Our passengers who visit us are from different countries, speak different languages, but quickly meet and share a week of skiing, camaraderie and relaxation. By the end of your stay families are together, romances have blossomed and guests have met new friends. All under the magical natural setting where it is located Portillo.
