Format for writing a newspaper article - easy to follow format in News Writing

The good thing about writing articles for newspapers is that the guidelines and format are clearly defined. Until you know the general structure, you'll never go wrong. Here is the format to follow:

1. Enticing titles. The first thing you need is to concentrate on writing headlines that catch the attention of potential readers. As you need to save space, it is important that you make titles short but very descriptive. Let your readers know what's in it for them. It will be helpful if you expand your vocabulary and use more appropriate words that can help your readers get the message you are trying to get through.

2. Lead paragraph. This is the most important part of your article. Here, it is necessary to communicate the essence of your story and answer all possible questions from readers. Tell your audience what happened, the people involved, how and when it happened, and its effect. Your main point must contain all the information readers need to know. These people should be able to understand your main story by just reading this paragraph.

3. Article body. This is where you put all the details of support and information that are less important. You can also use this option to include quotes from people who are directly involved and informed on the subject you are writing.

4. Things to keep in mind: Make sure you write your articles with formal tone especially if they are published on the posters. Keep them short and concise as possible....
