Organic (Natural) Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

If you're hoping that I will deal with the magic formula to guarantee yourself the # 1 position on top search engines here, you can stop reading now. I can not. I do not know. Nor anyone else about. And even if they did, they would not later than 30 days.

Here's the deal, folks. Search engines are a moving target. Should be. Not only technological change as a clock, but unscrupulous people constantly try to "game" the system and rig things to get ahead. "All is fair in love and war", right? Or you can take the approach that Machiavellian "the end justifies the means." The point, however, a ranking of NATURAL (also called "organic ranking") is that the websites get their position on the merits of their content relevant to what people are looking for, rather than a ranking that you get playing artificially a corner to gain an advantage.

As a result, the search engines handle their criteria for them ("search engine algorithms") in three ways. First, keep them super-double-top-secret. Secondly, they continually make smarter, more discriminating and counter the antics of people who seek to play. Thirdly, when they are cute little tactics employed by people to gain an unfair advantage, the search engines penalize those gimmicks involving algorithms are updated. Some few cheaters can still achieve their goals periodically, but overall, the search engine companies are very focused on the integrity of providing uncontaminated results.

The difference between "tactics" and "strategy" is very simple and very important in working with search engines. The short-term tactical efforts to react or respond to the immediate here-and-now to get fast results. In the SEO world, can be a house of cards. Strategy, on the other hand, is a long-term plan uses the proven methods and techniques, typically proactive move steadily forward to achieve your goal: the best ranking on major search engines.

When you are looking for a qualified SEO professional (someone who studies trends and search engine that includes The Big Picture), ask their strategies. If what you hear seems to be "special ways to exploit loopholes" rather than a well-formulated, long-term plan, then you probably do with a tactic rather than a strategist. If the tactical plan fails, the cost is yours. In other words, be smart enough to cheat the system for a month or two, but in the end when their methods of catching up with them, your website goes "bye-bye" from the lists of search engines. Um ... Oh, by the way, there is usually some clause in the contract of SEO that says "no guarantees, no refunds." It 's up to you to be smart and not cheated by someone who is proud of "smarter than the average bear" . They're making fun of both the search engines (temporarily), or you are kidding. In both cases, are paid.

SEO search for the person who is willing to explain what they do. Unless you have studied the process of SEO and have kept up on all the latest trends (in other words, is part of what you do for a living), you would be crazy to optimize your site yourself. It would probably be the prey of some of the "tricks" that the algorithms of search engines are programmed to detect, or should we missed the mark entirely. Yet, a number of SEO people seem afraid to "share the secrets of the trade" because either 1) the feeling that you do things on their own and do not earn your business, or 2) they are trying to protect you to do something harmful to your site. One reason is obviously more noble than the other.

Regardless, I think it is important that an SEO consultant educates its customers. I look at it this way: when I go to the doctor, I'd like to know what he (or she) is going to do for me. If he pulls out a rubber glove or a needle, it's nice to know what this is all before something happens ... and is certainly not something I would try to try making my own. In a kind not so vivid way, see the website and SEO work similarly. Just as I'm not trying to put an MD after my name when I expect the doctor to explain a procedure for me, your supplier of web solutions should not try to make an expert out of you by giving you the basics of how to do it business. They must provide information in simple and explainable. If they do not, ask. It will not hurt, I promise .......
