Increase Web Traffic


1. Keep it Simple - Make sure the design is simple, clear and pleasing to the eyes. Do not overcrowd.

2. More pages - If possible, divide the site into multiple pages and access them via separate elements (links) on a menu or navigation bar.

3. Be consistent - Having the same menu or some extension of it in all the pages so that viewers know where they are at all times. "Home" is a must on every page. You should be able to look around your website easily. If visitors are frustrated and can not find what you are looking for, are likely to leave quickly and never return or recommend your website to other people's menus can be positioned towards the top, left or right of the page.

4. Continuous updating of information - The static content is contained dead, write new articles, update old ones. New or updated content is a great way to keep visitors coming back. Search engines also rank web sites with the freshest content. Maintain an active blog is a great way to keep your website fresh and new.

5. Use descriptive file names - Use descriptive keywords as names for files (eg images, videos) on your site. This will help your site appear more with search engines - notably through Google Image Search.

6. Create Links - get links to your site from other sites will help generate more traffic and improve rankings in search engines. Find other web sites on your own topic and put a link on your site - maybe in a new "Favorite Links". Then ask those sites link to you by signing their guestbook.

7. Tag your site - Adding tags can increase the number of times your site appears in search results. To choose the right keywords, try to put in the shoes of your visitors and think about what they would look if they wanted to find your site.

8. JavaScript - If you use the JavaScript code, you can certainly help to make your Web site. However, there are many scripts that visitors may find irritating. Try to avoid scripts such as mouse trailers, mouseover sounds, mouseover pop-ups and mouseover redirects.

9. Helping visitors contact - make it easy for visitors to reach you, if you want. Include a guestbook or blog where you can post questions. Add a form "contact us" where you can send questions via email .......
